REVISITING THE SUMO...

A year ago I was working on a project that was a tongue-in-cheek about the future of skyscrapers resulting as storage units. You can see it featured here at Urbanops.org and also read about in John Southern's recent blog about recent development at The Grove in Los Angeles here.

I have been working on Design for the Children, AIA Seattle, somewhat. Our team have been busy with other priorities- which is probably a good thing given the state of our current economy. Below are initial sketches of a prototype for the healthcare center that competition primarily asks for. Challenge is coming up with a form that would allow modular planning using indigenous materials (Rwanda,Uganda). The competition has also asked to show the building in two phases. I will plan to post more drawings throughout the week. It is crunch time and I believe that we can only submit a building at schematic design.

Welcome

Loris Ceechini,798 Art District 2006

For my first post
, I am going to showcase some photos and photo-constructions that I have been working on over the past years. I am going to organize this blog in a chronological format, but in due time I will have an updated resume and work portfolio link located on the right for all to download and view Enjoy the photos and feel free to comment. Also, I will do my best to refrain from using ever again: "For my () post..." Here's to a productive 2009.
